Chunky Monkey Bowl is a delicious smoothie bowl with bananas, chocolate, peanut butter, and your favorite toppings. A healthy and satisfying breakfast, snack, or dessert!

Chunky Monkey Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate, banana, and peanut butter are a magical combination of flavors. It is satisfying but also healthy. I have been loving smoothie bowls this summer. They are so cooling and refreshing on hot summer days. Customize the smoothie using your favorite kind of milk and favorite toppings. Perfect breakfast or guilt-free late-night snack.

I didn’t love making smoothies and smoothie bowls until I got my Vitamix blender. Talk about a game-changer! Before getting my Vitamix, my smoothies were always chunky and never blended all the way. Now, I get perfectly blended, smooth, and creamy smoothie bowls. If you make smoothies often, a Vitamix totally worth the investment.

I combined my peanut butter with a little honey and avocado oil to make it drizzly. You can also heat the peanut butter up to help it drizzle.

Substitutions/Variations

  • Creamier: If you want a creamier smoothie bowl, add 1/2 cup of yogurt.
  • Sweeter: For a sweeter bowl, add 2-3 dates, maple syrup, or honey.
  • Thicker: To make a thicker smoothie add ice.
  • Stay full longer by adding a scoop of protein powder or oats.

How to Make a Vegan Chunky Monkey Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl is easily made vegan. Make sure you use plant-based milk, vegan chocolate chips, and omit the honey.

Powdered Peanut Butter

What is powdered peanut butter? Made from roasted peanuts which are pressed to remove oil then they are ground into a fine powder. I used PBfit brand. It has less fat and calories than regular peanut butter. Powdered peanut butter is great added to smoothies and baked goods. It is also easier to drizzle than regular peanut butter.

So delicious and easy to make! I used to always make peanut butter banana sandwiches because I love the combination of the two, add chocolate to the mix and it just got even better! This is the perfect morning starter.
