Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites are a simple, satisfying, and healthy treat to have on hand!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

Chocolate peanut butter banana bites are simply made with 3 ingredients. They make a super satisfying treat that kids and adults will equally love. I like to make half of them with sprinkles for my kids and the other half with sea salt for my husband and me. Just grab one from the freezer anytime that craving hits!

Banana bites are fully customizable and can be made dairy-free and vegan by using Enjoy Life chocolate chips. You can also swap peanut butter for any other nut butter.

How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bites

slice bananas
chocolate and peanut butter
melt chocolate and peanut butter
  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Peel and slice bananas into 1-1½ inch slices.
  2. Add chocolate chips and peanut butter into a medium bowl. Microwave on melt mode or 30-second increments until melted and smooth.
  3. Dip each banana slice in the chocolate and use a fork to help coat it with chocolate (I worked with 4 banana slices at a time).
  4. Transfer with a fork to the prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle the tops with sea salt or sprinkles if desired. Repeat until all bananas are coated in chocolate. (Remelt chocolate as needed to make the chocolate smooth again).
  5. Freeze until hardened. Transfer to a Ziploc bag or airtight container.

Tips/ Variations

  • Ripe bananas- choose a banana that is ripe but still firm. Overripe bananas are too mushy to work with and underripe bananas don’t taste as good.
  • Chocolate- I like dark chocolate for this recipe but you are welcome to use semi-sweet chocolate.
  • If the chocolate starts to harden, reheat it in the microwave to make it smooth again and easy to work with.
  • Nut butter- almond butter, sunflower butter, or cashew butter can also be used.

Notes

If too hard to eat, leave bites out of the freezer approximately 2 minutes before eating.
