Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats are everyone’s favorite treat but with the addition of strawberries. Made with Rice Krispies, buttery melted marshmallows, vanilla, and dried strawberries. An easy no-bake treat ready in just 15 minutes!

Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats are the perfect treat to bring to your next party or get-together! Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter for a festive Valentine’s Day treat. These simple treats take just 15 minutes to make. Made just like traditional Rice Krispies treats but with the addition of vanilla extract and freeze-dried strawberries for amazing flavor. Everyone will love this marshmallow-y strawberry Rice Krispie treats recipe!

How to Make Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats

freeze-dried strawberry powder
marshmallows in the pot with melted butter
melted marshmallows
  1. Reserve ¼ cup of dried strawberries for topping if desired. Crush the reserved strawberries. In a mini food processor, pulse the rest of the dried strawberries until powdery.
  2. Add the cubed butter to a large pan or dutch oven heat on medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, reduce the heat to low then stir in the marshmallows until melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Remove from heat then add Rice Krispies and powdered strawberries. Stir to combine.
  4. Pour into a large baking dish. Use a spatula to spread and press into the pan. Use a sheet of waxed paper to smooth out and press if needed.
  5. Allow treats to cool for an hour then cut and serve.

Rice Krispies Treats Tips

  • Use fresh marshmallows not hard/stale marshmallows.
  • Use waxed paper to gently smooth out the treats if needed.
  • Don’t press bars into the pan too firmly as they are harder to eat.
  • Option to line the baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and you can take the bars out before slicing.

Ingredient Substitutions

  • You can use marshmallow fluff instead of mini marshmallows.
  • Try other freeze-dried fruits

How far in Advance can you Make Rice Krispie Treats?

Rice Krispies treats can be made a day ahead of time if needed.

How do you cut Rice Crispy Treats Neatly?

Allow the treats to cool and set in the pan before slicing. Wait about an hour then slice with a sharp knife or pizza cutter. You could also like the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. Once cooled, take it out of the pan and slice.

How Long Does Rice Krispies Treats Stay Fresh?

The treats will stay fresh for up to 3 days covered at room temperature.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container or Ziploc bag at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Freeze for up to 3 months. Place parchment paper between bars to keep it from sticking. Bring to room temperature before enjoying.

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions
