This Easy Cherry Lemonade Recipe is made in a blender with just a few ingredients for a simple and refreshing summer drink.

Easy Cherry Lemonade

Nothing makes me think of summertime more than cherries. As a preteen, we went boating on the lake most weekends. I loved the warm sun on my skin, the wind in my hair as we sped across the water, and the refreshing feel of the water as I jumped off the boat. We often would bring fresh cherries on our boat trips. My friend and I would always spit the cherry seeds across the water, seeing who launch them the furthest.

This cherry lemonade recipe just brought me back. You can use either fresh or frozen cherries. Obviously buying frozen, pitted cherries will be the easiest and quickest option. However, fresh cherries when in season taste amazing. If you have a cherry pitter using fresh cherries is a lot easier.

This lemonade has the perfect amount of sweetness and tartness. Make a pitcher for those summer get-togethers and holidays. It takes less than 10 minutes to throw together, blend, and serve over a glass full of ice. I’m certain the only thing better than a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer’s day is a cold glass of cherry lemonade!

How to Make Easy Cherry Lemonade

  1. If using fresh cherries, pit your cherries and remove the stem. Juice the lemons.
  2. In a high-speed blender, pour in pitted cherries, lemon juice, sugar, and a splash of water.
  3. Blend until the cherries are completely broken down.
  4. Add the rest of the water and stir to mix or blend.
  5. Serve over ice.

How Long Does Cherry Lemonade Last in the Refrigerator?

The lemonade will last 5-7 days in the refrigerator. Give it a good stir before serving as separation will occur.

Can This Cherry Lemonade Drink be Frozen?

You can freeze the cherry lemonade to be used later. It would make an amazing frozen cherry lemonade drink! Just re-blend prior to serving.

Which Cherries Should be used for the Recipe?

Use either fresh or frozen cherries for this cherry lemonade recipe. I used frozen, pitted dark sweet cherries.

Can you Spike Cherry Lemonade?

Cherry lemonade can absolutely be made into a cocktail! I would recommend it with a shot of vodka and splash of club soda.

Lemonade Tips

  • The Vitamix breaks down the cherries beautifully where you don’t even need to strain them. But if you have a lower-powered blender, you may want to strain out the cherry skins using a sieve.
  • You can either blend the mixture with the water or just stir in the water. I noticed when you blend the mixture after adding water it gets foamy on top.
  • The mixture is meant to be more flavorful and served with lots of ice. The ice will dilute the drink a little.
