Creamy Coconut Strawberry Margarita

Creamy Coconut Strawberry Margarita has classic margarita ingredients with the delicious addition of creamy coconut and fresh strawberries. Takes only minutes to make so enjoy it either on the rocks or frozen this Cinco de Mayo or all Summer long!

Ingredients

  • Coconut cream in the can or you can use full-fat coconut milk.
  • Tequila either silver or white. I used Jose Cuervo Especial Silver Tequila. It’s pretty inexpensive. Feel free to use any brand of silver or white tequila.
  • Lime juice, fresh squeezed is best.
  • Agave or honey to sweeten the drink. Adjust to taste. I used organic Agave In The Raw (affiliate link).
  • Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Triple Sec, or any orange liqueur.
  • Strawberries, fresh, hulled (tops cut off).
  • Garnish: shredded coconut, lime zest, and either salt or sugar depending if you are feeling more sweet or savory. The garnish is totally optional but makes the drink so much more festive!

How to Make Creamy Coconut Strawberry Margaritas

Add coconut cream, tequila, lime juice, agave, Cointreau, and strawberries, to a blender. Pulse until blended and smooth.

To Rim the Glass

To rim the glasses, combine some shredded coconut, salt or sugar, and lime zest in a small plate.

Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass.

Dip the top of each glass upside-down in the mixture. Gently rotate the glass back and forth until the rim is covered with the mixture.

Serve on the rocks or frozen, your choice!

To serve on the rocks:

Fill up each glass with a handful of ice cubes, pour the margaritas over the ice then serve.

To serve frozen:

Add 3-4 cups of ice to the margarita mixture and pulse until smooth.

Pour into glasses then serve.

Cheers!
