One-Pan Creamy Chicken and Gnocchi make a simple and delicious weeknight meal. With chicken, gnocchi, and broccoli in a creamy parmesan sauce.

This creamy chicken and gnocchi skillet makes the perfect easy weeknight meal! Soft and chewy gnocchi, tender chicken, and broccoli in a creamy parmesan cheese sauce. It is simple yet satisfying and filling.

How to Make Creamy Chicken and Gnocchi

  1. Cook the chicken. Heat the skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of oil then chicken. Salt and pepper the chicken. Cook until the chicken is cooked through with no pink. Transfer to a clean plate. Set aside.
  2. Cook the gnocchi and broccoli. To the skillet, add the gnocchi, broccoli, and chicken broth. Cook until gnocchi is soft and broccoli is cooked to tender/crisp. Add the chicken back into the pan.
  3. Make the cream sauce. Add garlic, cook until fragrant. Pour in half and half and parmesan, stir to coat. Cook a couple of minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. Serve immediately.

Tips/Substitutions

  • Chop chicken and broccoli into bite sized pieces
  • Add in more veggies such as spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, etc.
  • Swap protein- shrimp would be delicous too
  • Cook chicken breasts whole then cut into strips
  • Save time by adding in rotisserie chicken and microwave steamed broccoli

FAQ’s

Can I Make This Recipe Keto-Friendly?

This recipe can easily be made keto-friendly by using cauliflower gnocchi. The first time I test this recipe, I used frozen cauliflower gnocchi from Trader Joe’s and it was really good!

Can I Make this Gluten-Free?

Gnocchi is generally made with wheat flour, but this recipe can easily be made gluten-free. Just use gluten-free gnocchi such as DeLallo (gluten-free potato and rice flour gnocchi) or another brand of gluten-free gnocchi.

  • chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 16 ounces shelf stable gnocchi substitute cauliflower gnocchi
  • 1 head fresh broccoli, chopped substitute frozen broccoli
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¾ cup half and half
  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • crushed red pepper optional

Instructions

  • Heat the skillet on medium-high heat.

Notes

Frozen gnocchi and broccoli may be used. Reduce the amount of chicken broth to 1/2 cup.
