How to Make Cinnamon Dolce Syrup
- Add water, cane sugar, and brown sugar to a saucepan, stir. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Meanwhile, grate the edges of the cinnamon sticks with the fine side of a vegetable grater. This helps to bring out the flavor of the cinnamon. I grated about half of a ⅛ tsp.
- Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat to low. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon sticks, and grated cinnamon. Simmer for approximately 12-15 minutes or until mixture starts to thicken.
- Turn off the heat to allow mixtur to cool and thicken for 20-30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon sticks.
- Serve or store for later use.
