Date Paste

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • small bowl
  • spatula
  • high speed blender

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 8 ounces Medjool dates (pitted) approx. 15 dates

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  • Place pitted dates in a small bowl then pour hot water over.
    Stir dates then let sit for 5 minutes to soften.
  • Pour dates and water into the blender or food processor. Blend on high speed.
    Blend for 2-3 minutes (or until smooth) stopping to scrape the sides.
    Blend until smooth. Add more water if the thinner paste is desired.
  • Transfer to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 months.
