I love the combination of the apple flavor and ginger beer. The drink is very similar to a Moscow Mule but with fall flair. It really is a very simple, but festive drink.
Ingredients
If you don’t have ginger beer or don’t like the taste, you can use seltzer water or ginger ale instead.
What is Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum?
Captain Morgan just came out with a new product called Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum. Which is a spiced rum flavored with juicy, crisp apple. It makes a delicious fall drink that can be found in a liquor store near you.
If Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum is not available, you can use spiced rum.
How to Make an Apple Cider Cocktail
- Fill a Moscow mule mug or highball glass about halfway full with ice.
- Pour in 2-2.5 ounces of Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum.
- Add in 3-3.5 ounces of apple cider.
- Top with 2-3 ounces of ginger beer.
- Stir and adjust to taste. Top with sliced apples.

I have made this drink both in a high ball glass and a Moscow mule mug and I do recommend the mule mug. It keeps it cold longer and doesn’t water the drink down.

Ingredients
- 2-2½ ounces Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum or Spiced Rum
- 3-3½ ounces apple cider
- 2-3 ounces ginger beer
- ice
- 1 apple thin sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Fill a moscow mule mug or high ball glass about halfway fill with ice.
- Pour in 2-2½ ounces of Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Rum. Add in 3-3½ ounces of apple cider. Top with 2-3 ounces of ginger beer.Stir and adjust to taste. Top with apple slices. Serve.
